Everything is better outside
A collection of ideas to make the most of your outdoor spaces
Fresh from the success of her first interiors book, Happy Home (#logosedizioni, 2013), founder and creative director of RICE Charlotte Hedeman Guéniau shows us that life outdoors can be extremely cheerful and relaxing, especially if shared with family and friends.
Whether you have a simple balcony or terrace, a small courtyard or a big garden, in this book you’ll find beautiful ideas to make the most of your outdoor spaces, from comfortable retreats to fun table decorations, lighting and seating, including a swing made from pallets.
With her feel-good vibe and her love for details and vivid colours, Charlotte tells us how to best take advantage of cabins, greenhouses, and treehouses, as well as vintage caravans and tipis, and offers countless suggestions for group activities such as playing sports, hosting a movie night, making pizza and organizing a picnic.
Danish-born Charlotte Hedeman Guéniau founded RICE in 1998. Charlotte and her French husband Philippe wanted to change their lives, having lived and worked in Paris for 15 years, so they moved to Odense, Denmark, and founded their ethical homewares empire. Now, RICE Denmark has a lovely office and showroom in an old shipyard building near the waterfront in Odense. The company employs 75 people internationally, and creates influential homewares collections that are ethically sourced and produced all over the world. RICE products can be found in the smartest stores worldwide. Charlotte is the author of the bestselling Happy Home (#logosedizioni, 2013) and several other Danish cookery books. She blogs at everydaymagic.dk.
