Patterns are back! After the aesthetic of simplicity that has characterized the interior design during the last decades, wallpaper is back to the top and its rich panoply of designs and textures is ready to enliven the walls of our interiors. Striped, flowered, geometric, it can be used in every room; hung on entire surfaces or wisely rationed, today it stands out as one of the most important elements in many interior designs, offering an endless range of possibilities. This book offers an overview of the most present-day trends and suggests a varied series of solutions, which will allow you to find the wallpaper that suits you – the one that gets on well with your tastes, with the context, with the atmosphere that you want to create.
Ève-Marie Briolat is a journalist and designer who has been collaborating for more than ten years with several magazines on trends and home décor, including Marie-Claire Idées, Maison Magazine, Côté Est, Bloom, Prima Maison. She studied fashion and environment in prestigious French schools (ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, ESAA Duperré) and she is fond of both interior design and fashion. Therefore she couldn’t help throw herself headlong into the revival of wallpaper that today combines countless decorative possibilities with a great variety of “textile” patterns.
